The first column has heads: "FIREMEN'S JUBILEE" "Grand Parade of Firemen in Philadelphia" with more on the celebration for the firemen. Also near the top: "Gen. Lee Takes the Amnesty Oath" which includes the complete printing of the document in which he pledges to support the Constitution of the United States & support all laws regarding the emancipation of slaves, signed in type: R. E. Lee (see). Inside pages have some Reconstruction-related items.
Eight pages, very nice condition.
