Nice issue on the Little Belt Affair, and the Battle of Tippecanoe...

UNITED STATES' GAZETTE FOR THE COUNTRY, Philadelphia, Dec. 9, 1811 The front page begins with much reporting concerning the investigation into the Little Belt Affair (see hyperlink), being Commodore Rodgers report to the court of inquiry, with the "Judgment of the Court", much in favor of the actions Rodgers in the battle (see). This was one of the events that would lead to the War of 1812.
Page 3 has two nice accounts of the Battle of Tippecanoe, one fom a survivor of the battle, and noting: "...We were formed in a moment, and in less than five minutes our pickets were driven in and the savages were in the centre of our camp. By sunrise we completely defeated them. But our loss has been great..." with much more. Another report concerning Tippecanoe as well.
