From shortly after the defeat of Napoleon at the Battle of Waterloo, page 2 has; "Destination of Bonaparte--St. Helena", noting: "...before this time is fars on his way to the island of St. Helena. The intelligence that he was to be conveyed to St. Helena was to him news of the most appalling kind; as it went to deprive him of all hopes of ever again resuming the imperial diadem...".
