The front page has: "ANDERSONVILLE. The Wirz Trial Yesterday" and more. Page 5 has a rare report of a baseball game on the White House lawn, under: "The Field--Base Ball" which begins: "The base ball tournament was continued today in the rear of the Presidential Mansion..." with much commentary on the fine fielding of each club, including: "...O'Brien never fielded better than in this game He took every ball that came to him and made some excellent fly-catches...". Included is the box score.
Eight pages, some minor printing creases, very nice condition.
