ST. LOUIS GLOBE-DEMOCRAT, July 30, 1885  Likely due to its location on the edge of the Western frontier, this newspaper typically contained a wealth sensational crime reports and events from the West than found in eastern newspapers.
Top of the ftpg: "IN HIS COFFIN" "Gen. Grant's Remains dressed for The Tomb". The best content is that which takes close to 3 columns on pg. 4 headed: "Stories About Cowboys" which is quite detailed on the life of cowboys. Among the subheads are: "Handling the Lariat" "A Cowboy Feat" "Cowboy Fun" "The Cowboys On A Drive" and more.
Twelve pages, nice condition.
