The ftpg. begins with an uncommonly detailed "Fifty Dollars Reward" ad for the runaway "Negro John" slave (see). Most of a pg. 2 column has; "An Act" of Congress: "Authorizing the President of the United States to accept the Service of a Number of Volunteer Companies not Exceeding Thirty thousand men." signed in type by the President: Th. Jefferson. Pg. 3 also has a "$20 Reward" for a man who deserted the Navy.
Four pages, good condition.
