Inside has over two-thirds of a page headed: "America" with datelines from Charleston, Philadelphia, Boston, New York, Louisbourg, Niagara & Newport. Included is an account of Colonel Montgomery with the Cherokees; mention that: "From Pittsburg we have advices...that Major Gladwin, with 400 men was arrived at Presque Isle...& that our forces from Fort Pitt..." also: "...have advice that our army at Crown Point is very healthy, in fine order & ready to march at a minute's notice...Indians were at Oswego...". Many more reports concerning the French & Indian War.
Elsewhere is a letter from Newport ion Rhode Island with more war-related items (see).
Eight pages, 8 12 by 11 inches, good condition.
