Near the bottom of the front page is a two column heading: "Dachua Captured by Americans Who Kill Guards, Liberate 32,000" First report coverage on American troops liberating Dachua, the first Nazi Concentration camp to open in Germany (1933).
The top of the front page has a nice banner headline: "RUSSIANS VICTORY FLAG ON REICHSTAG; U.S. WINS MUNICH, DRIVES FOR BRENNER; FOE BROKEN IN ITALY; TITO MEN IN TRIESTE" with many subheads. 1st report coverage on the Russians capturing the Reichstag building in Berlin, Germany near the end of the war in Europe.
Also on the front page is a somewhat famous photo of the Japanese Kamikaze fighter trying to hit the USS Missouri (see photos).
