THE RAHWAY WHIG, New Jersey, July 20, 1844 This is the vol. 1 number 1 issue of what would appear to be a short-lived campaign newspaper. Noted in the masthead is: "One Dollar For The Campaign". Pg. 2 has a small illus. notice supporting Henry Clay for President. Almost entirely political reporting.
Four pages, never bound nor trimmed, much water staining throughout but nothing causing loss of readability. Save for staining, quite nice.
