The back page has a nice article headed: "Wild Bill" , which begins: "Everybody in this country has heard of 'Wild Bill' a noted scout, buffalo-hunter and plainsman, & who on account of his reckless bravery was made Marshal at different times of several frontier towns..." and mentioning: "...During 'Wild Bill's' administration as marshal of Abilene and Wichita he is said to have shot to death many a man who resisted him..." with more (see). Perhaps the most noted item is the last paragraph which reports on his death the previous month: "...Bill drifted into the Black Hills & he was shot in the back of the head and killed at Deadwood City by a man named Sutherland, a brother of the man of that name whom Wild Bill had killed at Abilene or Wichita..." (see).
Four pages, large folio size, never bound nor trimmed with several folds, good condition. Folder size noted is for the issue folded in half.
