THE OLD WHIG, OR THE CONSISTENT PROTESTANT, London, October 20, 1737 This is a very rare title, and early as well for a folio-size newspaper (measures approximately 9 1/2 by 14 1/2 in.) which we have never had the pleasure to offer before in our 30+ years in the rare newspaper business.
This title only published for 4 years. There is much news of the day with a few ads near the back of the issue. A full red-inked tax stamp appears on the front page.
Complete in four pages, margins were never trimmed and is in nice condition. A rare opportunity to add a scarce title to your 18th century collection.
