The entire front page is taken up with a review of a new book: "Travels Through the Interior Parts of North America in the Years 1766, 1767 and 1768, by J. Carver..." (see for portions). This report carries over to take nearly a column on pg. 2.
Inside has a report noting: "...which left New York the 4th of March. The only material advices which have transpired are that several skirmishes have happened between the foraging parties...all was quiet at New York & that they had received advices from Carolina that Colonel Prevost commanded at Savannah & that Col. Campbell was gone up the river towards Augusta but did not mean to proceed so far as that town."
Nearly a full page is taken up with "American News" from the Rivington's Royal New York Gazette. The first report begins: "A person lately arrived from the southward brings an account that the inhabitants of Charlestown [Charleston] and other parts of South Carolina are flocking into North Carolina, alarmed at the expected approach of Col. Archibald Campbell, who had been joined by many hundred loyalists; that a body of North Carolina troops had been ambuscaded on their march to join Mr. Lincoln..." with much, much more (see for portions). And the bkpg. has "America" news with "...Between 3 and 400 people of North Carolina called Regulators, under the command of the two Cunninghams, who were going to join Col. Campbell in Georgia, have been intercepted by the Americana & every one made prisoners. General Lee has entered again into the service of the Americans."
Eight pages, 8 by 11 inches, nice condition.
