As noted in the masthead this was the: "Gazette of The Regular & Volunteer Forces" and as such is replete with military news of all sorts. Most of the front page is taken up with: "The Campaign In The Carolinas" and some on: "The Campaign In Virginia". Among the various articles within are: "The Fighting Of Troops" "The Regular Army", "Naval Armaments in America", "The Mustering of the Forces" & more. Near the back are various letters including a: "Proclamation by the President" signed in type: Abraham Lincoln and "Retaliation by General Sherman" signed by him: W. T. Sherman. In the "Supplement" at the back, over 3 pages are taken up with the: "Report of Major-General Thomas...from Sept. 7, 1864 to Jan. 20, 1865"
Twenty pages with the Supplement, 10 by 14 1/2 inches, nice eagle in the masthead, nice condition.
