The front page has a significant report on the woman's rights issue, with: "Susan's Sentence", which includes: "...Judge Selden made a motion in the case of Miss Anthony for a new trial on the ground of a misdirection of the Judge in ordering a verdict of guilty without submitting the case to the jury...Miss Anthony answered & said she had a great deal to say, & declared that in her trial every principle of justice had been violated..." with more (see images).
