Inside has: "General Order" datelined at "Head Quarters, Montreal" which is lengthy concerning the capture of Detroit, signed in type: Edward Baynes. Another page has a report noting: "The powerful army under my command is now in possession of Canada..." signed in type: William Hull. Another letter from Detroit, and yet another from Troy, N.Y., plus an: "Obituary" which notes: "Died, on the 19th ult. in the engagement between the U.S. ship Constitution and his Britanick majesty's ship Guerriere, William S. Bush..." with more on him (see). Also included is a "Letter from Commodore Rodgers to the Secretary of the Navy" taking half a page & signed in type by him: John Rodgers.
Eight pages, 11 by 14 inches, never bound nor trimmed, good condition.
