FRANK LESLIE'S ILLUSTRATED, New York, May 24, 1862  The ftpg. has two Civil War scenes: "Capture of Fort Macon..." and: "The End of the Merrimac--Destruction of the Rebel Ironclad Steamer Merrimac...".
A wealth of other war-related prints inside including 4 view of "Baton Rouge"; a centerfold showing: "A Panoramic View of New Orleans"; 4 prints of: "The War In Virginia" & more.
Included also is the: "WAR SUPPLEMENT' issue of the same date with a war-themed masthead & ftpg. showing: "The War on the Lower Mississippi"; a centerfold with 3 war scenes; and more. The 4 page foldout is cut in half from the binding process.
Complete in 32 pages, some dirtiness and some ink stains to margins, minor margin wear.
