The back page has an item noting: "...that Admiral Byron was still at Newport in Rhode Island, not knowing which way to direct his course in order to find out Mons. d'Estaing...that every thing was quiet in the neighbourhood of New York; that General Washington had left his army in winter quarters in the Jerseys & was gone to the South with a few select officers, probably with a view to put himself at the head of the troops that had been raised in Georgia & the Carolinas to make head against Brigadier-general Campbell; that the destination of General Campbell's expedition had been publicly known in America several weeks before he sailed..." and a bit more (see).
Eight pages, 8 by 11 inches, nice condition.
