NEW YORK HERALD, Dec. 7, 1860  The front page has much reporting on the break in the pipes of the Croton Aqueduct, which supplies water to New York City (see). Inside items include: "Naval Intelligence--Later from the African Squadron--Capture of the Bark Cora With a Cargo of Slaves, etc."; a brief bit on: "Sale of the Slaver Erie" "The Financial Embarrassments of the Government" "Correspondence with the British Government on the Slave Trade" "The Crisis" "The Secession Feeling in Florida" "The Georgia & South Carolina Conventions".
Eight pages, very nice condition.
