The top of the middle column of page 19 has a great report on one of the legends of the Old West, noting: "BAT MASTERSON DIES AT EDITOR'S DESK" "Sporting Writer and Last of Oldtime Western Gun Fighters Was 67" "Bear Indians In Long Siege" "Deputy U.S. Marshal for Southern District of New York Under His Friend, Colonel Roosevelt". This report is quite detailed on his life and takes three-quarters of a column (see). See this hyperlink for much more on his career. There was a television series titled "Bat Masterson" which ran from 1958 thru 1961.
Also of curious interest is a pg. 17 article: "Beer As Medicine In Nine States Only" "New Treasury Regulations Inoperative in States Having Local Prohibition" "Thinks People of Nation Will Object When They See Drug Stores Handling Booze". The article begins: "The brewers have several hurdles yet to make before medical beer is a reality..." with much more.
Complete in 32 pages, loose at the spine, various tears & some chipping at the margins, rather fragile & must be handled carefully. Fortunately the Masterson article is in the middle of the page so no damage.
