EDINBURGH ADVERTISER, Scotland, Jan. 10, 1766  Page 5 has a letter which relates to the sugar and tea tax situation with America, noting in part: "I am not satisfied that I am in the wrong in asserting That the sugars, teas, and other commodities the American got from St. Eustatia and Monte Christi are too convincing proofs that they have no tenderness for their mother-country...If their sugars came from our colonies...If they drank our teas would not our East-India Company get that money which is expended in foreign markets..." and more (see).
Eight pages, 8 1/2 by 11 inches, never-trimmed margins, good condition.
