The Custer massacre...

Item # 634110

July 13, 1876

AMERICAN STANDARD, Uniontown, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, July 13, 1876

* Custer Massacre - Indians
* George Armstrong Custer
* Battle of Little Bighorn

Page 2 contains a very nice & lengthy account of the Custer Massacre, headed: "THE INDIAN WAR" "A Disastrous Defeat of Gen. Custer's Command by the Indians--Three Hundred & Fifteen Soldiers Killed--Terrible Odds Against the Whites--All of the Custers Killed" plus there are subheads reading: "Another Account" and "Ghastly Details of the Fight in Which a Brave General Perished" and "The Killed, Wounded and Missing". This is an extremely lengthy & detailed account, more so than most we have had the pleasure to offer, taking over two full columns of text.  Complete in 4 pages, never bound nor trimmed, large folio size, browning & dirtiness to the front page only, several tears & small archival mends causing no loss of readability, and a few very small holes at folds, again causing no loss of readability. A very historic & detailed account.
