The entire front page is taken up with: "THE INSTRUCTIONS" from the President to the foreign ministers on negotiating a peace with England to end the War of 1812. This lengthy text carries over to pages 2 and 4 where are included  7 documents each signed in type: James Monroe.
Other war content includes: "Capture of The Reindeer" being the "Official Account" by Capt. J. Blakely of the U.S.S. Wasp. Also: "Late from New Orleans" "Latest from U.S. Sloop of War Peacock" and more.
Four pages, never bound nor trimmed, some ink smudges, good condition.
