January 04, 1942

VOLKS-ZEITUNG, Bacsszentivan, January 4, 1942  A quite rare newspaper (translates to "Populist Newspaper") printed in present-day Serbia, which in 1942 was occupied by the expanding German military machine. Included in the masthead is the variation of the Nazi swastika as worn by the 11th SS Volunteer Panzergrenadier Division Nordland (see hyperlink).
Six pages, 11 by 167 inches, cleanly cut at the spine, various small tape mends, generally good condition. A very rare title from the Nazi era.
