Page 7 has a report with nice column heads: "THE INDIAN WAR" "Details of Colonel Merritt's Charge on the Cheyennes" "A Short Struggle" "The Indians Utterly Surprised, Rush Back in Disorder" "The Latest from General Crook's Camp" "Ominous Absence of the Sioux". These reports are datelined: "Fort Laramie" and have much good content & subheads (see for portions), and also includes a report with rare mention of "Buffalo Bill" Cody, with a subhead: "Cody Kills Yellow Hand" and the report noting in part: "...met the daring charge with a volley. Yellow Hand, a young Cheyenne brave, came foremost, singling Bill as a foreman worthy of his steel. Cody coolly knelt, and taking deliberate aim, sent his bullet through the chief's leg and into his horse's head. Down went the two, and, before his friends could reach him, a second shot from Bill's rifle laid the redskin low..." (see images for portions).
Complete in 12 pages, some loss to the margins of the outer leaves only, and some margin staining to the outer leaves only. Never bound nor trimmed.
