(see) This was the game that had Notre Dame as big underdogs and was famous for Knute Rockne's famous 'Win one for the Gipper' speech at halftime. Notre Dame would pull off the upset in the second half.
The front page announces: "Hirohito On Throne As New Emperor of Japan" with several subheads.
