THE WASHINGTON POST, Jan. 21, 1961

* John F. Kennedy inauguration (JFK)
* Best title to be had

The banner headline reports: "Kennedy Takes Oath as President, Proclaims a New 'Quest for Peace" with a subhead: "Eloquence, Pageantry Mark Historic Transfer of Nation's Leadership" along with a color photo of Kennedy taking the oath. The ftpg. also has the: "Text of President Kennedy's Inaugural Address" which includes near its conclusion the immortal words: "...And so, my fellow Americans: Ask not what your country can do for you--ask what you can do for your country..." (see).
Related reports and more photos are on pages 2 thru 8. Great to have this historic report in this famous newspaper from the nation's capital.
Present is the first section (of 4) with pages 1-20. Wear at the margins with some margin tears, wear at the central fold with some chipping & minor loss affecting a few words.
