PENNSYLVANIA PACKET & DAILY ADVERTISER, Philadelphia, March 2, 1787 Page 2 has an article relating to a spy event from 1777 concerning a note hidden in a silver bullet, the spy captured, he swallowed the bullet, it was disgorged "...and the unfortunate fellow was hanged on the next tree." This is followed by a nice report concerning the famed John Paul Jones (see).
Half of a pg. 2 column is taken up with: "A Proclamation" by the governor of Mass., Geo. Clinton, concerning the Shays' Rebellion & an appeal for the capture of Daniel Shays & his conspirators, mentioned by name (see).
Four pages, very nice, clean condition.
