March 08, 1794

DUNLAP & CLAYPOOLE'S AMERICAN DAILY ADVERTISER, Philadelphia, March 8, 1794

* Eleventh Amendment passed
* United States Constitution
* Sovereign immunity within states

A significant issue, as page 3 has the reports from "Congress of the United States" with a dateline of March 4, on the passage of the eleventh Amendment, reading in part: "...The house then took into consideration the amendment to the constitution of the United States, which has been passed by the Senate--this amendment is as follows:..." and what follows is the full text of the eleventh amendment, then followed by the full vote of "ayes" and "noes" (see).
The page 3 Congress reports also mentions: "...that the President of the United States had approved and signed the act in alteration of the act establishing a mint..." (see).
Four pages, a few small archival mends to the edges, very nice, clean condition.
