The top of page 3 has two reports concerning the Shays' Rebellion, one noting in part: "The restoration of public peace in this county & Berkshire is an event devoutly wished for...number of insurgents who prevented the courts from sitting at Springfield was about 2000, they were headed by the noted captain Shays and Luke Day & his brother..." (see).
