June 17, 1766

(2 issues) THE LONDON CHRONICLE, England, June 14 and 17, 1766  Most of the front page of the June 14 issue i taken up with: "The Melancholy Narrative of the Distressful Voyage & Miraculous Deliverance of Capt. David Harrison...of New York, on his Voyage from Fyal [Faial, an island in the Azores] to New York". This interesting article concludes on page 5 of the June 17 issue (see for portions).
The June 17 issue also have over half a column headed: "America" with reports datelined from New York & Boston, the latter including: "...inhabitants of the town of Boston met a Faneuil Hall when they were well pleased with the accounts which had been received from home in regard to the progress of the repeal of the Stamp Act..." and a bit more (see).
Each issue complete in 8 pages, 8 1/2 by 11 inches, minor rubbing to the ftpg. of the June 14 issue, generally very nice.
