THE POST BOY, London, July 21, 1715 This is one of our favorite early newspapers as it is single sheet, small folio size, and has two great engravings in the masthead making it very nice for display (see photos). The front page has various reports from throughout Europe while the entire back page is taken up with ads.
Measures 8 1/4 by 13 3/4 inches. Terrific condition. You will not be disappointed; a great price for a displayable issue approximately 300 years old. A full red-ink tax stamp is on the back page.
