FITCHBURG DAILY NEWS, Fitchburg, Massachusetts, March 4 and 5, 1909 (2 issue set) The issue of March 4th carries a three-line, four-column front page headline "TAFT ASSUMES OFFICE AS NATION'S NEW PRESIDENT 'MID CHEERS OF CROWDS" with subhead "Remarkable Demonstration of Multitudes As Roosevelt Steps Down and His Heir Apparent Steps Up at Capitol In Washington -- Big Parade Follows -- New England Well Represented -- Inaugural Ball and Fireworks Tonight -- Addresses of Taft, Sherman and Fairbanks -- Ex-President Starts for Oyster Bay After Seven Years As Head of Great Nation" and has a large profile photo of President Taft. More coverage is inside the issue.
The issue of March 5th, page 11 carries "President Taft's Cabinet Officials" and page 12 "Taft's Inaugural Address".
Both issues are complete, the March 4th with ten page, the March 5th with twelve pages, with tiny binding holes along the left spine, otherwise in very good condition. Should be handled with some care.
