THE NEW YORK TIMES, January 21, 2001 (Washington Edition)  The two-line banner headline reads "BUSH, TAKING OFFICE, CALLS FOR CIVILITY, COMPASSION AND 'NATION OF CHARACTER'" with subhead "Unity Is A Theme" "In Inaugural Speech, He Asks Citizens to Seek 'A Common Good" and includes a large colored photo showing George W. Bush as he is being sworn into office. Also on the front page is a photo of President Bush with his father, former President George H. W. Bush and his mother.
