THE WEEKLY HERALD, New York, Dec. 25, 1841 Page 2 contains: "The New Israelites--Margaret Bishop, the Female Preacher" with the body concerning an interview between her and James Gordon Bennett, the publisher of the Herald. One bit notes: "Mr. B. Your religion seems a little like that of the Mormons. What do you think of the Mormons? Marg. Oh well, I think 'em a well meaning people and if they hare not deluded entirely they may be saved from the wrath to come..." with more.
Eight pages, foxing to a quadrant on the front page, nice condition.
