THE WEEKLY REGISTER, Baltimore, Maryland, April 25, 1812 Inside the issue is "George Clinton -- dead !" "Washington, April 21, It is with feeling of unmixed veneration for the character of the revolutionary hero, the patriot and statesman, combined in one, that we announce that the venerable GEORGE CLINTON IS NO MORE. He expired about 9 o'clock yesterday morning, at his lodgings in this city, after an illness of about four weeks continuance..." This also includes information on the funeral.
The back page includes "STATE OF LOUISIANA !" provides information to the boundaries; the constitution and legislation; governor and congress. They would join the Union on April 30th.
Complete in eight pages, measures 6 1/4 x 9 1/2 inches with scattered foxing throughout, otherwise in good condition.
As noted in Wikipedia, this title: "...(was) one of the most widely-circulated magazines in the United States...Devoted primarily to politics...considered an important source for the history of the period."
