A nice newspaper from the capital of the Confederacy. The front page includes: "The Situation" "Flag of Truce" "Important From Northern Georgia--Battle Between Generals Bragg and Rosecranz's Armies--Two Days Hard Fighting--Heavy Losses on Both Sides" which includes a dispatch signed in type: Braxton Bragg. This is the historic Battle of Chickamauga, and the back page has much on this battle as well including some mention in the editorial.
The back page has: "Late News from Northern Tennessee" "Surrender of Cumberland Gap" "The Armies of Tennessee and Georgia" "Execution of Capt. Rhodes" and more.
A single sheet issue with a full banner masthead, very nice condition.
