A nice newspaper from the capital of the Confederacy. The front page has: "From Fredericksburg" "The Situation in Mississippi--How the Yankees Behaved at Jackson--The Prospect at Vicksburg--The Feeling Against General Pemberton" and "General Bragg To His Army" being his General Order concerning the Confederate victory in the battle of the Rappahannock, signed in type: Braxton Bragg (see).
The back page has a nice editorial beginning: "The Grand Army of the Potomac is said to be 'moving on' once more. Where it is going, is a matter of surmise. Some will have it that it is retiring to Washington where a large portion will be left to guard that Gomorrah..." with much more. Also: "Net Presidency of the North" "The Agitation Commenced--Gov. Seymour, of New York Trotted out--The Platform of the War Democracy--The Question of Another term for President Lincoln...".
Complete as a single sheet issue with a full banner masthead, bit close-trimmed at the upper right not affecting any mentioned items, some fold rubbing, generally good.
