* Abraham Lincoln's journey to his inauguration

An entire front page column is taken up with text on Lincoln as his makes his was from Illinois to Washington, D.C. for his inauguration, headed: "Mr. Lincoln In New Jersey". It includes his address to the State at Trenton, plus some text on his speech at Independence Hall in Phila., and text on his arrival at Harrisburg, Pa.
Pages 4 & 5 have more on Lincoln and his journey to the nation's capital including mention that he: "...went through unknown to Baltimore & Washington reaching the latter place at 6 a.m....Fears of trouble at Baltimore, if not of assassination, were the cause..." Mention also of Jefferson Davis (see).
Eight pages, minor fold foxing, very nice condition.
