Page 2 contains a very notable letter signed in type by: Bushrod Washington, the nephew of George Washington, which is in response from the state of Virginia that the remains of George Washington be re-interred in Richmond. Bushrod ultimately does not permit it, citing the will of his uncle which requests that his remains be at Mount Vernon. (see)
