DAILY GLOBE, South Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Feb. 21, 1895

* Frederick Douglass death
* Negro abolitionist

The back page has almost an entire column taken up with the report of the death of Frederick Douglass, with includes a small print of him as well. The top of the column has: "FRED DOUGLASS DEAD" "The Great Colored Orator a Victim of Heart Disease" "Death Came Without Warning" "Life Sketch of a Man Who, Though Born a Slave, Gained International Fame & Political Preferment Through the Brilliancy of His Oratory".
Four pages, archival strengthening at the spine margin with minor loss, an upper corner of the back leaf missing causing no loss of text. Somewhat fragile & must be handled carefully.
