THE LONDON GAZETTE, England, Feb. 4, 1666 (1667 by today's calendar). An extremely early issue of this famous title, which began in 1665 and is still publishing today. Filled with various European reports, with the bottom of the back page having a report noting: "The King's most excellent Majesty having been graciously pleased...to give authority ...for the erecting of a light-house on St. Anna Point in the county of Pembroke, to prevent such damages as ordinarily accrue to seafaring men..." with more.
Complete as a single sheet newspaper, 6 3/4 by 11 inches, very nice condition.
