* Exploring/Testing Albert Einstein's Theory of Relativity

Long before Albert Einstein became a well-known name and well before he emigrated from Germany to the United States in 1933, professor Albert Einstein In his early days in Berlin, postulated that the correct interpretation of the special theory of relativity must also furnish a theory of gravitation. In 1916 he published his paper on the general theory of relativity. During this time he also contributed to the problems of the theory of radiation and statistical mechanics.
It was in 1918 that a test was done on this theory, which previously was a focus of much talk & controversy in the physics community.
This newspaper reports that test. It is a somewhat obscure article on page 7, and the noted test proves him correct (see photos). A very significant newspaper in the world of science, and from well before Einstein would receive more notable acclaim. I suspect this is one of the few publications to report this particular event as other titles in our inventory do not.
Other news of the day. Complete in 20 pages, a few binding slits along the spine, generally in nice condition. Should be handled with care.
