The bulk of the issue is taken up with a wide range of eclectic articles. Among the articles are: "Remarks on the Clergy" "On Compulsory Laws Respecting Marriages" "Of the Cathedral at Toledo" and much more. Near the back is the "Monthly Gazette" with the latest news from Europe and the States, including a report from Savannah concerning Indian affairs, and another item noting: "John Jay is declared Governor of the state of New York by a majority of upwards of 2000 votes."
Complete in 64 pages, full title/contents page, 5 1/4 by 8 1/4 inches, small pieces from 2 margins affect just a bit of text, various foxing, generally good condition.

Eighteenth century American magazines are increasingly scarce in today's market. This title was published  by the famed Isaiah Thomas, the patriot printer from the Revolutionary War & founder of the American Antiquarian Society.
