October 14, 1802

INDEPENDENT CHRONICLE, Boston, Oct. 14, 1802

* Call to vote in Massachusetts
* District elections

Page 2 has a nice editorial concerning the coming election headed: "Electioneering" in which they make the time-honored appeal to the citizens to get out and vote, particularly for those supported by this newspaper: "...On Monday, the first of November, you are called on to exercise your constitutional rights. Let the hammer be silent and the plough at rest on that day--attend to that business on which all your labor eventually depend--support an Administration which lessens your taxes..." and more.
The back page has a poem: "Description of Charlestown, Written the Day Before the Battle of Bunker Hill".
Four pages, handsome masthead, nice condition.
