November 10, 1860

DAILY NATIONAL INTELLIGENCER, Washington, D.C., Nov. 10, 1860

* Abraham Lincoln is elected President
* From our nation's capital

Page 3 has the definitive report on the election of Lincoln: "Result of the Presidential Election" which includes a state-by-state chart noting the elector votes, and prefaced with: "...The states, being sufficient to elect, which have decided that their electoral votes shall be cast for Abraham Lincoln of Illinois, and Hannibal Hamlin, of Maine, are the following..." with more text after the chart (see). More on the election as well. Nice to have this content in a newspaper from the nation's capital.
Four pages, large folio size, very nice condition. Folder size noted is for the issue folded in half.
