Page 2 has a report concerning the Shays' Rebellion with: "...hear from Berkshire county that the spirit of opposition to government is far from being subdued in that quarter; that the insurgents are frequently collecting in small parties & making prisoners...plundering their houses..." and more (see),. Another report from Pittsfield includes: "The invaders flushed with success, are instead returning to your state...moved directly for Great Barrington...the insurgents bent their course to Sheffield...about 80 men attacked them..." and more. Other items on the Shays' Rebellion as well.
Four pages, very nice condition.
