THE NEW YORK TIMES, Aug. 27, 1930  The top of the spots have has a near banner headline announcing: "Wilson's 44th Home Run Sets League Record as Cubs Win", plus a 2 line, 1 col. subhead: "Cubs Win As Wilson Sets Homer Record" & other subheads: "Chicago Star Hits His 44th to Erase Klein's Mark in the National League" "Ties Ruth For 1930 Crown". Included in the report is a photo captioned: "Hank Wilson, Whose 44th Home Run Set Record for the National League." Wilson would ultimately hit 56 homers for the season and his record would last until 1998 when it was broken by Mark McGwire.
Complete in 44 pages, very nice, clean condition.
