THE BRITISH APOLLO, OR CURIOUS AMUSEMENTS FOR THE INGENIOUS with the extended title including: "To Which are Added the Most Material Occurrences Foreign and Domestick. Published in London, and "Perform'd by a Society of Gentlemen". Feb. 25, 1708

* Uncommon Title
* Short-lived newspaper

An early issue, being issue #4 of this popular paper which existed for less than 4 years. Readers submitted questions and the editors would provide answers, which took up the greater portion of the issue. But included also were poetry, snippets of news, announcements of new books, and various advertisements.
Near the back is an uncommon "extra" issue but referred to here as:the: "Supernumerary Paper for the month of July".
An interesting & curious title for a newspaper, complete in 8 pages & measuring about 7 3/4 by 12 1/2  inches, good condition.
