BOSTON PATRIOT, Aug. 16, 1815

* Napoleon Bonaparte defeated

Page 2 has  nice editorial headed: "Did Tyrants Cease with Caesar's Fall?" which begins: "It is the fashion of the day to believe that whatever is villainous in the human nature is concentrated alone in the character of Bonaparte. To vindicate his conduct is perhaps no easy task..." and much more.
Also on pg. 2: "Downfall of France" which begins: "It is painful & humiliating to witness the exultation with which some, who call themselves Americans, have received the accounts of the downfall of France. France is our old ally..." with much more taking over half a column.
Four pages, scattered foxing, good condition.
