BOSTON PATRIOT, Aug. 5, 1815

* Napoleon Bonaparte abdication

Page 2 has a report headed: "Highly Important" which includes in part: "...announced the SECOND ABDICATION OF BONAPARTE...After the battle o the 18th Bonaparte left his army...arrived in Paris...he demanded...new levies of men & money...not having accede to this request...they proposed to him to abdicate the imperial power. He wished to make his abdication conditional in favour of his son, but to this condition the Chambers refused to accede. He finally complied with their wish, renouncing unconditionally his authority..." and more (see). A nice account of a notable event.
Four pages, minor loss to the spine margin of the back leaf, scattered light staining, generally good.
